during World War II. Bonhoeffer, who could have lived in America throughout the difficult war
chose to return to take a stand against Nazi Germany and the enemy attacking the church of
Jesus Christ within Germany’s borders. “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be
strong” 1 Corinthians 16:13.
