Jesus was all about connecting people, to him and each other. Much like the roots of a giant Redwood tree, those of us in the Christian faith are intertwined.
There is so much to celebrate on Easter morning! Jesus has risen and death has lost its sting. But it’s also because of Jesus and Easter that we are set free and made pure.
On the day Jesus died, His followers were hiding in the shadows, denying that they ever knew Him. Our lives are often lived in the shadows, hiding the sin, stains, and shame in our lives.
As humans, we find all sorts of things in our lives to crown as king, but they’re often things that carry us away from the path God sets before us. On Palm Sunday, the people of Jerusalem looked to Jesus as a new king, not realizing that the crown he would bear would be made of thorns.

Easter is a time of great rejoicing, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Through His death and resurrection, He offers us the gift of new life and hope, and invites us to share in His victory over sin and death.
For three days, you could hear the echo of the cross. The noise of the crowd, the cries of agony, the nails piercing flesh. But hope was not lost and love was not done. Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here. He is risen!
