Devotional 1: While worship can take many different forms, the offering of musical praise has the ability to move us individually and corporately. In this way, songs can drastically impact our communities. To begin this module, Nathan shares four songwriting elements every congregational songwriter should keep in their back pocket.

Devotional 2: There are plenty of rules and opinions about which song styles will and will not “work” for a church congregation. But the reality is that we write worship music to bring God glory - not to appease personal preferences. In this module, Nathan challenges us to think outside of the box and focus more on the aspects of worship that matter, like vulnerability and strong melody.

Devotional 3: Collaboration has the ability to multiply creativity. It also has the ability to multiply God’s glory. When we invest in projects bigger than ourselves, we’re prioritizing the growth of the Kingdom over our need for the spotlight. In this session, Nathan explains how sharing the platform can revitalize our creative efforts.

Devotional 4: Some musicians are afraid of failure. Others are worried there’s nothing original about their work. Too many of them have this in common: they allow their anxieties to stifle their creative expression. As he wraps up this module, Nathan provides us with practical tips and tricks to get writing and stay writing.
