Description: What do we do when we have nothing left to give?
YPJ reminds us that we will all experience hardships in our lives. We can let the pressure build and feel like we have nothing left to give. Instead, YPJ encourages us to see God’s hand working in our lives even in the midst of hard times. We can invest in others and use what’s going on in our lives to serve God’s kingdom.
In this module, you will find four 3-5 minute devotional videos and a PDF study guide to enrich your team’s experience with the videos.
Devotional 1: Hardship doesn’t discriminate. On this side of heaven, we’ll all encounter trials and tribulations. So how do we continue to pour ourselves out in ministry when we feel like we have nothing left to give? Sometimes, the answer is to step back and heal. But there are also seasons when God calls us to keep being engaged – not because He wants to wear us down but because He wants to lift us up. Pastor YPJ digs into this concept more over the course of the next devotional.
Devotional 2: Sometimes, we become too familiar with our surroundings – especially in a ministry context. We get so used to showing up and completing the task at hand that we forget to pause and connect with the people serving alongside us. In this next devotional, Pastor YPJ discusses the value of supporting and investing in one another.
Devotional 3: Worship is always going to be a presentation of some kind. We’re either presenting God with our praise or we’re presenting our congregation with a performance. It’s up to us, as a team, to decide which type of performance we want to offer. If we place the worship experience on a pedestal, we’ll end up idolizing the production and striving for perfection. Pastor YPJ gives us permission to take the pressure off in this week’s video.
Devotional 4: Condemnation can stifle the spirit of worship within us. It can spread lies like weeds in the soil of our souls, and we can doubt ourselves out of a ministry role, simply because we conclude our past makes us unworthy. Pastor YPJ offers an exhortation and calls us to use the things we’re most ashamed of to build a future God’s most honored by.
