This story is based on true events from the life of Samuel Morris, an African prince who lived in the 19th century. Through God’s miraculous intervention, Samuel escaped certain death at the hands of a rival tribe. He found his way to a Christian missionary station where he discovered Christ as his Savior. Hungry to learn all that he could about the Bible, so he could reach his people, young Samuel sets off on a dangerous journey to America. Once there he finds his way to Taylor University, a small Christian school in the Midwestern U.S. Although Samuel is there to seek an education, it turns out that he is a bigger blessing to the struggling university than it is to him. Everywhere he goes, Samuel testifies to God’s miraculous power to save. His faith is so strong that revival breaks out on campus and the school is saved from bankruptcy. Samuel’s miraculous life and unstoppable faith is the reason he is known as the African Missionary to North America.
