Some of you are missing the point. Some of our fallen heroes are women. That's why it mentions daughters (although I agree, it should also say mothers and wives). If you'll notice, it is referring to the heroes as "they were....." showing past tense. If they were referring to the families of the fallen soldiers, they would say "They are.....". This is a moving video and well worth using!

I appreciate the video as is, and agree with Rick: Memorial Day was established to honor the brave soldiers who fought for our freedom. Adding others (family) just dilutes the message. To protect our freedom, our military is willing to stand between us and a bullet. We remember. We thank you.

I saw this video as Honoring our Veterans & All of the ones serving currently. If you include the mothers & wives then you need to include the brothers & sisters. But the mothers & wives are not the ones on the front line defending our freedoms like our past & current soldiers are have done & are doing. This is what Memorial Day was established for. For Our Soldiers to be remembered for the sacrifice they have given to Our Country.
