Description: AngelHouse Media presents Forsaken – Psalm 22.
“...Eloi, Eloi, lama sabacthani” (My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?) Jesus cries these words out from the cross on the day we now remember as Good Friday. But what are these words? Where did they come from? Jesus was quoting scripture from the text we know as Psalm 22.
The rabbis knew it as the Death Psalm. Discover the connection between the words of Jesus from the cross and the 22nd Psalm. Explore the depth of meaning behind His words.
Note: A longer version of this film was previously released under the title of “Psalm 22” (5:05). While this shorter version contains the same narration, the graphics have been enhanced, and the shorter length should make the film more service time friendly.

Finally a video that CORRECTLY references Jesus' last words from Ps.22. I've always been bothered by the conclusion God turned His back on Jesus. If so, what hope do I have as a true sinner? The full context of Ps.22 shows us that God never leaves or forsakes us. Thank you for this video!

We talked about this last night in Bible Study. How Jesus used scripture continually. He showed us it is our best tool. In the beginning was the word. When we learn the scripture and use it. It causes us to know him better, because he IS the word. Thank you for this!
