Thought is was great! I, too, have family members with those ailments but was not offended at all. Keep doing what you do Skit Guys, because our churches would be filled with a lot less laughter without you!

Erin, since we both have had family members with those ailments, we worked to make sure the Mamaw character was very aware of what was going on. Other than the stumble, Mamaw knew everything that was going on and actually put me in my place. You are right...it was a bad wig! We were hoping that would add to the comedy. BTW - That's actually my mom in the bad wig! I would never put her in a derogatory situation. ;)

Yes, I do see a possible cringe coming from people who are dealing with an aging loved one. For some churches, probably larger ones, this would not be taken personally, however, In a smaller church, it would be natural for certain women and men to be singled out and sterotyped. What I would love to use with our church, where the "senior adults" are 50s, 60s and not 80s 90s, is a more progressive script involving a confident, knowledgable, willing and "can-do" attitude of someone in their50s
