Well done! I very much appreciate Christian actors lending their talents to ministry related projects!
My only thought is that it may paint an image that family members loathe having to honor their moms, which I would hope is not the case.
On the "actors' associations" issue - to dismiss this outright is naive. I wish it weren't so, as this puts actors in very tough situations. However, the things we choose to associate with "outside" ministry do and should have impact on our testimony.

Shane, I totally AGREE with you! While the argument that some actors from LotR have done other unsavory projects, none of them are as mainstream as The Office, Desperate Housewives, or certainly Glee. You can get plenty of well-known actors whose other portrayals (Christian or not) are not as widely known, recognized, and obviously in direct contrast to Christian standards. Just my two pennies.

Shane, I have to say that is one of the most ridiculous arguments I have ever heard. First of all I happen to know these are Christian actors but even then, who cares. Do we stop using piano's because they were invented by a non-Christian or used by Elton John? Are you endorsing the life of every songwriter whose music we sing? Are there no illustrations outside the confines of the Bible that are applicable & usable? Are our congregations really that indescriminate? Where does this end?

I appreciate your sensitivity to it Shane but ultimately I agree with Tom on this. These are great actors that many people love and I think it brings some credibility and professionalism to the clip. Very good clip Tom and a great length. ;)

I'm glad you enjoyed the video, Shane. My thought is that this piece stands on it's own. While we advertise the celebrity here to gain attention, a church wouldn't need to do the same for their viewers to enjoy it. "Lord of the Rings" has some of the most played clips in church, and the actors in those films have done other projects far worse than these TV shows. I believe the church can endorse a good film without endorsing all the other projects an actor has also participated in. Thanks!
